CCCKC was contacted recently about possibly providing some interviews from our hometown heroes, the Duct Tape & Zip Ties Powerwheels team. Part of that team includes Sharon and Steve Mehl, and their son Brian. In reality the Duct Tape and Zip Ties team comprised two families working together with members of Make:KC and CCCKC to build and race their vehicle. The Mehls do a great job of explaining their backgrounds and their journey into not only becoming ranked 4th in the world among Powerwheels racers but becoming full-time members of the hackerspace!
