This past Thursday, and in fact all this past week CCCKC/Hammerspace was been busy with progress. Last Thursday CCCKC members helped build a new table for Hammerspace's biggest room.


This bigger room was then promptly filled with hackers! It's one of the first Thursday general meetings where we've really filled out the space, it almost felt crowded, which is saying quite a bit since Hammerspace offers about 4 times the area of our previous premises.

On Friday, Hammerspace hosted a Lady's Craft Night where old T-Shirts were transformed into handbags. Make sure to watch the google group for the next Lady's night. (I'm told it will be a monthly event.)

Saturday we were in full swing with a zombie themed birthday party for one of our long standing members.

On Sunday we started progress on a double sided white-board door that also serves as a noise barrier between CCCKC's room at Hammerspace, and the room that houses the CCCKC CNC.

The door has a foam core for noise reduction and both sides are covered by a white-board like material. We attempted to glue the white-board slabs onto the support material, but unfortunately they were too smooth to adhere with the glue we chose...despite the shear number of clamps available...Not to be stopped, we simply screwed the white-board material to the door and moved on. Monday we finished trimming the door to fit the frame, and cut out the notches necessary for the hinges. All that was left on Tuesday was to get the right screws and hang the door!

It still needs a knob...
